DUET Central Library Central Library at a Glance

The Library Building of Dhaka University of Engineering & Technology, Gazipur, is located between the Academic Building and the Student Residence Hall. Administrative Branch on the first floor of the building, Reading Hall, Bangabandhu, and Liberation War Corner. On the second floor is the Daily Corner, Photocopy, Question Distribution Branch, and Student Book Lending Branch. On the third floor, there are a collection branch, a processing branch, a teachers’ book distribution branch, and a reference and thesis corner.

The library has a collection of about 37635 printed books, 338 periodicals, 252 magazines, etc. In addition, five popular dailies are regularly maintained.

A Guide to DUET Central Library

Students are required to collect the prescribed form from the academic branch for the library card and submit the application form attested by the teacher of their department and the head of the education branch and with one copy photograph (attested).
MSC students will be able to collect the form from the administrative branch on the first floor of the library. In the case of re-admission in the same class, a new card has to be issued.The teachers have to collect the prescribed form for a library card from the Teachers’ Book Issue Branch (3rd floor), fill it, and submit it there with a copy of the photograph signed by the head of the department.
