From the Desk of Librarian (Incharge)
It is my great pleasure to welcome our esteemed faculty members, students, officers, staff, and researchers to the Central Library, a cornerstone of learning and intellectual development at our university.
The DUET Central Library is dedicated to promoting academic excellence by offering access to a diverse range of high-quality resources, including both print and digital materials.
Our current collection comprises 37635 printed books, 3549+ e-books, 3764337+ e-journals, and 907 periodicals and reports, in addition to daily newspapers published in both Bengali and English.
Recognizing the evolving needs of modern scholarship, we are actively working to establish an integrated online and offline access system that will enable our users to conveniently explore global journals, research databases, and institutional resources from both within and beyond the campus. This initiative reflects our vision of transforming the library into a digitally enriched learning environment that supports teaching, research, and innovation across disciplines.
The Central Library also offers a variety of academic support and information services, including:
- Group Discussion and Newspaper Browsing Facilities
- Borrowing and Reprography Services
- Reference, Documentation, and Current Awareness Services
- Digitization and Remote Access Facilities (under expansion)
- A specialized “Bijoy-2024 Corner” for ICT-based learning
- Reading Hall and Teacher’s Corner

Beyond traditional services, the library actively engages in outreach and awareness programs, such as the Annual Library Orientation and National Library Day Celebration, designed to inspire information literacy, reading habits, and lifelong learning among our students and faculty.
