The Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Dhaka University of Engineering & Technology (DUET) organized a workshop on “AI Tools and Result Preparation with CO-PO Mapping” for academic capacity building. The event was graced by the Honorable Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dr. Mohammad Zoynal Abedin, as the Chief Guest, having keynote speakers from East West University and BdREN.
In his address, the Vice-Chancellor highlighted that Bangladesh’s Washington Accord signatory status has opened international employment opportunities for engineers. He emphasized that AI tools are essential for the accreditation process and expressed confidence that DUET's departments are on track to achieve program accreditation soon. He further noted the role of AI in simplifying CO-PO mapping and called for stronger collaborations to elevate DUET’s global standing.
IQAC Director Professor Dr. Md. Obaidur Rahman stated that the workshop is crucial for implementing Outcome-Based Education (OBE), which is now a global standard. The event, which began with a welcome by Additional Director Professor Dr. Shafiqul Islam, was attended by all Deans, Heads of Departments, and course coordinators from across the university.
