A seminar titled “Research Excellence, International Collaboration, and Higher Education: Pathways to Global Opportunities” was jointly organized by the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of DUET and the DUET Career and Research Club (DUET CRC) on Wednesday, 8 July 2026, at the Shaheed Shakil Parvez Auditorium. The event was attended by teachers, researchers, and students from various departments.
The Chief Guest was the Honorable Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dr. Engr. Mohammad Iqbal, with the Pro-Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Arefin Kowser, Director (Student Welfare) Professor Dr. Utpal Kumar Das, and IQAC Additional Director Professor Dr. Shafiqul Islam as Special Guests. The keynote address was delivered by Distinguished Research Professor Dr. Saidur Rahman from Sunway University, Malaysia. DUET CRC President Hasanur Rahman gave the welcome address.
In his speech, the Vice-Chancellor emphasized DUET's commitment to connecting students and researchers with world-class institutions through MoUs, joint research projects, and exchange programs, aiming to establish a global presence for the university. The Pro-Vice-Chancellor highlighted the value of expert exchanges in guiding students toward international opportunities. The keynote speaker provided detailed insights on international networking, joint research, and pathways for higher education abroad.
IQAC Director Professor Dr. Md. Obaidur Rahman, who chaired the session, stressed that research and international cooperation are vital for quality higher education and a global perspective. The seminar concluded with an interactive Q&A session on higher education and research scholarships, followed by a vote of thanks.
